Personal goal-setting<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Your personal goals create a framework that allows you to focus your life on what you want to achieve.<\/p>\n<p>Listing your goals and reviewing them constantly can have a profound impact in helping you quickly discover what won&#8217;t work, when it comes to getting what you want.<\/p>\n<p>If you are longing to be your own boss but you <em>opt<\/em> to give up on your dreams in exchange for what appears to be a steady paycheck from an employer, you will realize that starting a business of your own will require you to do just the opposite.<\/p>\n<p>The desire to achieve your financial goals may force you to <em>close<\/em> the path of least resistance because it normally keeps you from getting ahead financially.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4.\u00a0 The right attitude<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Having the right attitude allows you to put yourself in a frame of mind that forces you to take responsibility for your financial success or lack thereof.<\/p>\n<p>Years ago while I worked at a corporate job, I was often amazed at lazy people who would proclaim how hard they <em>would <\/em>work if they got a raise, or a promotion, or if they became the boss.<\/p>\n<p>What they failed to realize is, to a certain extent we are absolute beings. Getting rid of unproductive habits is not as easy as flipping a switch.<\/p>\n<p>You have to start by <em>being <\/em>the person you want to become.
